Margaret Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, MARGARET (Watchko) Margaret "Peggy" (Watchko) Anderson, 64, died Monday December 22, 2014 in hospice care in Pompano Beach, Florida. The daughter of Dr. John and Eileen (Bragg) Watchko, she was born on August 6, 1950 in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Peggy was a 1968 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School, the Pennsylvania State University, and Florida Atlantic University. She taught kindergarten in the Broward County School District of Florida for more than 25 years. She was a skilled child educator, admired by colleagues and staff, and appreciated by families for her strong commitment to effectively preparing her young students for the challenges of elementary school. She was an ardent Penn State fan and particularly enjoyed spending time and traveling with her numerous close friends. Peggy is survived by her two sons, Dean Anderson of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Tim Anderson of Wilmington, Delaware, a brother Tom Watchko and wife Mehe of Fairfax Station, Virginia, a brother Jon Watchko, M.D. and wife Susan of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and her mother Gladys Eileen (Bragg) Watchko of Coconut Creek, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, John Watchko, M.D. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Marge and Randy Morehouse of Pompano Beach for their extraordinary compassion, generosity, and care, as well as to Peggy's numerous colleagues and close friends in Florida and Pennsylvania for their steadfast support and kindness. You were always there for Peggy. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held in the spring with details to follow.

Oh Peggy, How I miss you! You were just the best. We shared so many laughs and tears, always there for each other. I miss our Happy Hours and work connection. Did you take "Lyle, Lyle Crocodile" with you. (Private joke!). RIP my sweet sweet friend.
