MARK SCHUSHEIM Obituary

SCHUSHEIM, MARK, died on December 21st. Born in Ossining, NY Mark was a social worker, mediator and raconteur. Over the years Mark helped many people live healthier lives through his counseling and mediation practices. The consummate story teller, he regaled patrons at the Wallflower Gallery with tales of his travels with his Uncle Jack in the sixties. The villain in a spaghetti western, in real life, he searched for magic mushrooms in Mexico. He enjoyed expounding on the issues of the day and tweaking the noses of his fellow therapists online. Mark had been in fragile health for a while but lived a good life and had a peaceful death. He is survived by his mediation partner and friend, Janet Seitlin, his sister, Karen Siskind, his friend Flash, numerous cousins and various friends from the Velvet CrŠme or the Wallflower or any other midnight hangout Mark frequented who will be telling their own "Mark" stories for years to come. We will be celebrating his life and his stories on January, 22, 2017 at noon at Virginia Key in the Green Pavilion.
