" My Dad"
"I Love my dad so much"... He was the most remarkable man, loved by so many. He was such a good father to me and my two brothers. And a great husband to my Mother... My father touched many lives... Ushering at our home church every Sunday at 6:00 sharp. Then after church, he would go to the Italian store, bring his family their favorite's, as well, every Sunday. At his station, in North Miami. Everyone traded gas, and repairs that lived in our area. He was so amazing to everyone he met, always fair. And everyone loved him for it.
My dad to me was the most handsome man in this world, till the day he passed.
I adored my father as a child, and as a adult. He could do no wrong, and he did no wrong. To me, my dad was, and will be a true "Angel of God".

John's Gulf was a neighborhood icon. It was owned and ran by a man who was bigger in his heart than most people ever knew. He provided a safe place for people to do business, he was the go to, in the day for gas, or a repair. The only thing greater was his faith. His love of all kids. He was and still is " Mr.North Miami" at it's finest. It was an honor to have met him.

Memories of your name throughout the years as a child, going to your station, with my family. Thank you for years of service, staying true to the local community, and the church. Condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to the family. Growing up in North Miami, Johnny's Gulf Station, was a landmark and always was a friendly place to go to. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. RIP.

John was a people person who loved all irregardless of color, language, ethnicity, religion, nationality, etc. His happy personality was contagious and made him a delightful person with whom to associate. He was a man of faith, a dedicated usher at St. James Catholic Church for decades. He loved his wife Gloria, family, community and nation. He served on the Personnel Board of the City of North Miami for many years and is honored in the city's Hall of Fame. May you rest in peace my friend knowing that your memory will always be a blessing. A ring of trees have been planted in Israel as a living tribute to your life and legacy. Your Friend, John Stembridge
