Please accept our deepest sympathies. My husband served under your father while we were stationed in Hawaii in the 1970s. I also met your mother as I was Pres. of the CG Enlisted Wives Club. I will never forget the help they both gave us when our German Shepard puppy was hurt in a car accident and had his front leg amputated. I knew your mother loved dogs and had German Shepards and she was the first one to help me find a vet to care for my dog. Even with three legs he lived for almost 15 years.
Again, we mourn the loss of such a distinguished man.
