North Bay Village, Florida - Phyllis Spencer Sepe passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 23rd at the age of 86. Phyllis was born in Ithaca, New York where she was introduced by family to Alfonso (Al) Sepe. Phyllis and Al later married, started their family and created their home in North Bay Village. Phyllis and Al had four children: Allan (and wife, Bonnie), Kevin, Arvi and Cindy, and was very active in their lives.
In addition to being a loving, giving, and devoted wife and mother, she was equally attentive and adored her 16 grandchildren and their spouses (Jaclyn and her husband Michael, AJ, Lauren, Kevin Jr., Gianna and husband Brett, Sarah, Amanda, Katie, Christopher and wife Krista, Jennifer and husband Charlie, Christina and husband Mario, Jonathan, Leo and wife Natalee, Alexandra, Madeline, and Nicky; and 9 great- grandchildren (Mario Jr., Marcus, Nina, MaryJane, Jaxon, Kathlyn, Landon, Colton, and Bennett). With open arms, she welcomed not only her family, but everyone into her home. Her loving and giving heart was felt by people of all ages, and that love was returned to her.
Phyllis did a lot of volunteer work that included managing others' political campaigns such Miami's Mayor Robert King High and Florida gubernatorial candidate Bud Dickenson. As a Bridge player, she played regularly with her mother Arvilla, and in time, was recognized as a Life Master Bridge player.
Phyllis' strength of character and her devotion and love for her family and friends are the underpinnings of a legacy that will remain in her family's heart and will be very deeply missed.
The funeral service will take place at Santa Cruz Resurrection Episcopal Church (11173 Griffing Blvd., Biscayne Park, FL 33161) on Friday, June 25, 2021. Masks must be worn.
