Richie, I hadn't seen you in a long time but I have nothing but fond and warm memories of us working together in the field of medicine we loved so much. I only just heard of your passing when I returned to Miami. As the song goes "those were the days my friend I thought they'd never end".

Dr. G, though our relationship was brief, I realized how brilliant, kind (to all creatures) and compassionate you are. You will be missed and I hope your family caries on your legacy of kindness and compassion to all creatures large and small.
