Robert Onsgard Obituary

ONSGARD, ROBERT HENRY, born July 5, 1916 in Stoughton Wisconsin, died at age 97 peacefully at his home in Parkland, Florida on March 9, 2014. He retired as a Lt. Cornel from the Air Force in 1966 after 28 years of service, having served in Germany, Alaska and Guam. His first military service was in 1935 with Troop I of the 105th Cavalry. Raised in Wisconsin, and long-time resident of Fort Atkinson, Robert was an avid gamesman, fishing guide and golfer. He loved the outdoors and had a great zest for life. He was always quick with a joke and generous to those in need. He married Helen Mae Danielson from Nebraska in 1956, who he had met in the Air Force, and who passed away in 1988. They had one son, Robert Ames Onsgard. He remarried Eloise Marquis from Maine in 1990, who passed away in 2007. There will be a private celebration of life for family and friends at his home, 7271 NW 65 Terrace Parkland FL 33067 on Wednesday March 12th at noon. In lei of flowers, please make donations to the Child Fund International, one of his many charities. While we suffer with the grief of losing him, we rejoice with the Lord in his home coming.
