Roberta represented me in a way that is most indeed rare for her profession here in South Florida. She was respectful, kind, diligent, engaged and so much more than competent. She was a fighter with a heart. As others have said, not for her ego but for the underdogs or wronged or defenseless. Her legacy will remain for her vibrations rippled waters in the most lasting way. Compassionately. Thank you Roberta

I knew Roberta at a time when my name was on the front page of the Miami Herald along with that of the late Marlyn Smith for "allowing abused children to sleep on the floor of the shelter office when there were no beds available. Roberta represented Marlyn for her Suspension from work hearing while I was represented by another attorney. I still remember Roberta's examination of me on the witness stand that lasted for at least an hour. She was wonderful and fun as well. I am saddened to learn of her passing.

Dear Mike,
Bob and I send our condolences.
In the mid 80's I had the privilege of working with Roberta on a court reporting issue when she was working as a lobbyist. And as was her way, you became her life-long friend.
She was an advocate for all. She did not accept being told she couldn't do something. And if she was, she would move mountains to get it accomplished, which I witnessed first hand when she took on the Florida Supreme Court.
Roberta was a special person, whose life had purpose.
She will be remembered and missed.

When I learned of Roberta's passing, I felt a great loss in my life.
I am one of the Hialeah South employees fired and then re hired by the State of Florida thanks to Roberta's passion for justice.
I had the pleasure to get to know her and her passion for helping the innocent, and for putting injustices right!
She was a great "lady". She was a great human being, and someone I grew to admire from the bottom of my heart. She was sincere and very outspoken. She jumped immediately to help those that needed it and never, but never gave up.
This earth has lost a great human being, but her deeds will continue on helping those she intended to help. Our loss, heaven's gain!

In the Seventies, when feminism was a dirty word, Roberta "Bobbie" Fox pushed womens' rights with courage, pride, and compassion. As head of the House HRS committee, she was both savvy and kind, a rare combination in the state legislature. She loved to hear little people's needs and was driven to defend the underdog.
Unlike some public figures, she sought not attention but opportunity to serve. She was a marvelous role model for women when there were few.
When I reconnected with her recently, it was clear that her commitment to others had sustained the changes of time and illness. She left a lasting mark of compassion, intelligence and grace.

Based on the pieces I read on her, Ms. Fox was dedicated to the causes dealing with women's and children's issues. I can only say I wish I'd known her.
May her family find solace in the memories they share.
May her soul rest in peace.

Thank you for all the work for women and equal rights. I marched down Appalachee Parkway for the ERA with friends. It passed in our hearts. "Roll on over or we'll roll on over you" is what we sang. Peace be with you and your family.

Roberta was the one who got me interested in State politics. Her command of the issues and caring for those less fortunate always impressed me. Florida has lost an advocate of what should be in this state and America. I will never forget the experience of working for her election in 1978 and 80. Roberta will always be a part of my intellectual life and I will never forget her.

For many years Roberta and I were "in the feminist trenches" together. We also worked together professionally. I can honestly say she always had a warm smile on her face and a kind word from her heart.
The world is a much better place for having such a wonderful woman in it. May those of us who knew her and experienced it first hand pass on her legacy of kindness and service to others to future generations.
May she rest in peace.

Dear Mike:
Bobbie's departure leaves a huge hole in the hearts of feminists everywhere. No greater tribute can be paid to Roberta Fulton Fox than she spent her life doing good and being an inspiration and role model for her generation. May she rest in peace and on her laurels. Her life was well spent and used up. But her legacy will live on.
Thank you, Bobbie, for all you did for women and children. We love you and miss you...
