Rodney and I met as teenagers at a Sunday School Convention. Formed a great friendship and created fond memories! We lost touch years ago. To find out that he passed away has broken my heart into pieces. I often thought of him and wondered where life had taken him. I'm not surprised at all that he touched the lives of so many people. He was that kind of guy. He was a great guy and great friend. Rest Well my Friend.. until we meet again.

Sandra, Ransom & Helen, & Family,

I think of Rodney all of the time and I miss him so much. He was more than a cousin to me he was a big brother. My heart has been so heavy dealing with Lori's passing away and now it is crushed all over again knowing that Rodney is no longer with us. I know that Lori & Rodney are together rejoicing in heaven. I wish so much that they were still here with us, but I know that they are in a better place with our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. You all are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

When i went to school on Monday and heard this shock , sad , and unbelievable news about Mr.Hill i was so shocked because I was in Mr.Hill class on Friday and he always tell us to have a good weekend and see you Tuesday. Because i havi his class for Algebra 1 for 6th period. Mr.hill was a good teacher he was actually my favorite teacher. He used to know all of the gossip around the whole school. He also had all different types of nicknames for majorarity of his students. For example he had feet #1 , feet#2, peanut, head, cheese, glue, huggy bear, big pappa, and mine was BLACK .He was the only teach that you could explain your personal problems to and he would always give you good advices. But i will always keep the Hill family in my prayer. Although he is in a better place , just remember we will see him someday.

Mine and my family's hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Rodney was a very respectable young man from a very respectable family. May GOD bless you with inner peace and joy instead of sorrow. Rodney has done something we all have to do one day. We were proud of him then and continue to be proud of him now.

Sandra:

I was a former student of Mr. Hill and I am glad to say that he was a wonderful teacher. I graduated this year from Turner Tech, and I remember that Mr. Hill used to always scold at me by saying: "Everytime your brother comes late to my class his conduct grade will get lower and lower." So I decided to start coming to school earlier just for him. Then everytime he saw me in the hallway I would say to him: "Mr. Hill I didn't bring him late to school today so you can't say anything." and he told me: "Yeah I know I know I just wanted to congratulate you for being a Silber Knight Nominee." That was the last thing that we said to each other before his departure. Sandra, God will always be with you and my prayers go out to you and your family. Mr. Hill was a great man and one day in the future you and him will encounter each other once again.

Sandra,

You and I have been through so many things together. Some of the darkest moments of my life, you were there. What was so special about Rodney is that he stepped right in and behaved the same way. I will forever cherish my last conversation with him. It was if he had been my bestfriend all these years. The encouragement, the comfort, the humor all meant so much to me on such a terrible day. That day he was my great big hug! Every time I see you, I will give that hug right back to you. I love you. Your sister.

May you find comfort in knowing that Rodney is with God and that you have been blessed to have shared many happy memories with him. I am sure you don't remember me but I am a friend of your cousin, Joann Williams. I came down from Ft. Laud and met Joann at your mom's house to go shopping once back in about 1996. At that time, I met you as well. My prayer is that God continue to bless and keep you and your family in perfect peace.

To Mrs.Rodney Hill,I am deeply sorry for your lose, for it is a great one but, you must stay strong and remember all the great memories that he has left behind for you. Mr. Hill left memories upon my mind from being my teacher, my mentor down to becoming my friend.Your husband was a great man and would help anyone if he could. Just the fact knowing he is'nt here any more, or that I won't hear his voice coming from down the schools hall brings tears to my eyes. All I have left are dear memories and great advices he has given me. But, knowing he is in a better place makes me smile, God needed the best angel he could have found. Remember God every once in a while gives us test and for he has given you a big one, keep in mind that he never put more on you than you can bear.I wish you nothing but the best for you and your little girl.Always keep your head up and NEVER DOWN!!!
