Tanya Jones Obituary

JONES, TANYA DENISE October 19, 1965- June 27, 2015 A graduate of Norland Senior High School, '83 and the University of South Florida, '88, Tanya Denise Jones began her banking career in July 1988 at First Union National Bank in Miami. She climbed the ranks, exemplifying proficiency and integrity, at financial institutions in a career which spanned an impressive 27 years. Beginning in 1989, Tanya held positions at Citibank for over 15 years as the Cluster Manager and Branch Manager in the Greater Ft. Lauderdale area. From 2005 to 2008, Tanya supported the Southern Texas Region of Citibank as a Sales Manager, in the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio markets. 2008 then saw Tanya with a transfer to the Philadelphia offices of Citibank to once again contribute sales, service, and operational excellence to consumer markets. In July 2013, Tanya joined the Bank of America team in Manhattan as a Senior Vice President and the Consumer Market Sales Manager, managing 13 financial centers and over 150 associates in Midtown New York City. Tanya held her Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses. Many will remember Tanya for her drive, ambition, and solid work ethic as well as for her generosity and kind-natured spirit. In her spare time, Tanya enjoyed travelling--venturing as far away as Ireland and Israel, shopping, and spending quality time with friends and family. She was an avid reader, a lifelong learner, and lover of life's new adventures. Tanya was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory and celebrate her life her mother Patricia Williams; stepfather James Williams; sister Angela Jones; brother, Armin Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and so many other family members and close friends. Tanya is safe in the arms of her Lord whom she served faithfully her entire life. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 18, 2015 at St. John XXIII Parish, 16800 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL with a repast to follow at The Nautica Club, 3691 SW 164th Avenue, Miramar, FL.

I have been searching online for Tanya for years. Our dear friend , Father Brendan Dalton passed away last week and it prompted me to search again. Finding this has saddened me. Many people at St. Bernadette's were asking about her this week. I am one of her friends that traveled with her to the Holy Land and Ireland. She and I were such close friends. May she be watching over all of us and know that she was deeply loved.
