Thomas A. Maestu

MAESTU, THOMAS A., passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007. He was born in New York and spent his adult life in Miami. As a young man Tom served his country proudly under the flag of the U.S. Marine Corps. His later years were dedicated to the private sector, working in managed healthcare. He is survived by his wife Dulce Maria (Barro), his son Thomas Anthony, daughter-in-law Isabel (Blaubach), grandchildren Anthony Michael, Thomas Dean and Kristen Taylor, and his sisters Yvonne De Pol and Linda Lavery, their families and devoted friends. They will always remember his great humor, indomitable strength and courage, which have been an inspiration to all who knew him and loved him. A service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 11291 S.W. 142nd Avenue, Miami. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 S.W. 77th Ave., Miami. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Veterans Alliance, Burial with Dignity Program, 199 E.
