Schuler, as a teenager in your class many years ago, you made a comment to me one time about an article I had read. I didn't really have anything to reply, but know that your comment did make me think, so even tho it may have appeared to mean nothing, it did not mean nothing. Your echo thru the years still challenges me to seek good and truth, and have deeper convictions.
You are awesome and loved! I pray for much peace and love over the hearts of your loved ones, and that your soul is at rest in the joy and glory of God. Amen. Thank you.

What a shock, I just found out yesterday that my friend of 18 years is not going to get my Christmas card. Instead I got a reply sending the news. I am so grateful for all the wonderful memories, and I am trying to focus on those and not the immense sense of loss. My heart goes out to his dear family and everyone that his life touched , as he will be missed.

Just found out about Victor's passing. He was a class act, and a tough act to follow for cyclists out on the track and on the road. It's heartwarming to see what a positive influence he was on others and to see that he had touched so many kids through his example as an athlete, and as a teacher. Hopefully he's riding a victory lap out there in heaven.

Hey Vic, its taken a few months for me to gather my thoughts... I cannot believe you are gone... its not fully sunk in yet... I have lost my older bro and one of my best friends. i will always remember the times we had together (i could write a book). Boy I have so much to write. I have only now been able to come to terms with the emotions i have been feeling after you left us. I never knew exactly what it was but we would always say we were cut from the same cloth. I could go on forever on the bond we shared, but i will leave it with a simple goodbye bro... You will definitely be missed. I hoped to play a little football with you again in the future... Rest in Peace... will always love you...

i just learned of Mr. Schulers death, and i am in total shock. he was the only reason that i never skipped school after lunch because i had him for class right after lunch. he was an amazing teacher, always there when you need him. he was an amazing friend, and gave the best advice. i regret not keeping in touch with him after i left palmetto.
my condolences and my heart go out to his family. i love him and miss him dearly.

It was the first day of school that i found out about Mr. Schuler's death. It was very hard to keep tears from falling. I never had him as a teacher but i would stop by his room before classes to talk with him and at lunch we would have interesting conversations. He would talk to me about his dogs and he showed me pictures of his bikes. He told me he would like for me to do an air brush design on one of his motorcycles because i am an artist. He learned about my heritage and we shared the excitement of finding my biological siblings. I planned a trip to go meet my biological family and i couldnt wait to get back to school to tell him all about it but it didnt work out the way i thought it would. I never would have expected such a tragic thing to happen to Mr. Schuler. I miss him so much. He will always be in my heart.

Burying a son, brother and husband can never be a good thing. I met Victor through his cousin and later as a neighbor. I walked my dogs by his house daily and frequently stopped and talked. Knowing his personality, love and passion for life he would want his family to laugh and smile thinking of him. I pray that one day his family will.

as i sit here completely shocked and broken hearted I cant get over the devastation of victors passing. I really don't know what the world will do without his incredible spirit. his death has left the human world with a serious disadvantage without victor as a mentor, a friend, a teacher and just an incredible guy.
Victor was my teacher in job corps back in 2000. I wouldnt have graduated had it not been for his encouragment to keep me going.
I was lucky enough to form a strong friendship over the years with him and I will never be able to fully recover from his untimely passing.

I was in shock yesterday when I found out about Victor's death. I was at work and the rest of the day was spent thinking about him. I had not been in touch with Victor for a long time but I never forget the people that helped me along the way, and I remember when I lived in Florida he would come pick me up and take me to the track then take me home. If it was not for him I would not have been able to train at the track there. He was a good guy that you just needed to understand and I thought he was very funny. I smile every time I think of him coming to pick me up as you could hear his music from a mile away.

We've known Victor since he was 14 years old and we considered him to be a family member. Victor was an accomplished competitive cyclist, garnering many awards and championships. I had the esteemed privilege of riding on three state team sprint championships with Victor. Our first team sprint title composed of Victor, Jan Jardine and myself still remains a record. When Victor won the one title he coveted most, the Florida State Sprint Championship, our chests filled with pride. Perhaps more compelling then his riding ability was his sportsmanship, sense of fair play and honesty. Victor treated the two imposters victory and defeat in the same manner, and you could always garner a smile from him no matter what the outcome.
Victor chose education as a profession and his success in this endeavor came as no surprise. His willingness to help others and provide guidance were attributes that endeared him to a multitude of students and colleagues. My wife and I personally have sought advice from Victor and could always count on him in times of need.
Victor was tragically taken from us too soon. However, knowing Victor, I know that he would advise us that by keeping him in our hearts and minds we can continue to draw off his wisdom and inspiration.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Victor when we were teenagers because he was friends with my older sister. I still remember the hatchback civic he used to drive. He was always nice to me and I will always remember some advice he gave me when he picked me up from the Falls one time since I had no ride home. My sister and I recently found him on Myspace and were thrilled to reconnect with him. His family should be very proud of him because he accomplised a lot in his short life.
