VICTORIA ISEN Obituary

ISEN, VICTORIA OJALVO GUILLORY. Our beautiful Mom, beloved Wife, adored Sister and incredible Aunt and Grandmother, passed away on September 29th after her long ordeal with Alzheimer's disease, at the young age of 85. Born in Guantanamo, Cuba to Vitali and Claire Ojalvo, Victoria and her siblings Susana, Estela, Jacobo and twin Sister Luisa, grew up in a world filled with guitars and song. As an adult, she lived a life full of love and adventure. She married her handsome sailor, Easton (Easy) Joseph Guillory, Jr. in 1946. They had two children, Isaac and Claire. Easy passed away in 1965. Eight years later, she met Leon Isen and love again blossomed. Leo, and his children Ivy and Lance, made our family complete once more. In 1979, following their daughter Claire, Leo and Victoria moved to Miami. There, Victoria worked as a Spanish/English interpreter for the federal courts and Leo worked as a convention reporter. They traveled the world as a couple, making friends wherever they went, dancing and celebrating life to the fullest. Victoria is survived by her loving husband Leo, her adoring children, Claire Chassen (Jon), Ivy Hofstadter and Lance Isen; her grandchildren Sienna, Robbie, Jace, Ellie, Jacob, Alex, Zachary, Thalia, Jack, and Griffin; twin great-granddaughters, Lucia and Valentina, in addition to her many loving nieces and nephews the world over. Victoria was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 10 years ago and without the loving care of Bridget Newton and Desiree Brown, she would have been lost to us long ago. Our family's gratitude goes out to Bridget especially. You kept Victoria beautiful and gave her love and dignity through all the stages of her care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the South Florida Alzheimer's Association. View this Guest Book at www. MiamiHerald.com/obituaries.

I only met Victoria a few times, but she was such a fabulous lady. Her and Leo had a love of a lifetime and I am so grateful and happy I was able to see them together while they were able to tell their love story to me. My heartfelt condolences to Leo, Lance, Ivy and the whole family.
