Barbara Keiffer, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 27, 2012. She was surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born Oct. 15, 1931 in Palouse, Wash. She later moved to Klamath Falls, Ore. where she spent the next 75 years. She graduated high school at KUHS, class of 1950. Barbara loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, fishing, camping, bowling and gardening. She didn't know a stranger and was full of love and compassion. She was always there to lend an ear, a hand or hug.
Among her survivors are: her husband John Keiffer, brother John and sister in- law Robin Larsen, children Mike and Maryann Keiffer, Terry and Jan Keiffer, Leslie and George Demetrakos, and son Scott Keiffer; grandchildren Mikayla, Pamela, Kyle, Steven Keiffer, Tiffany, Dena and Mike Sanchas, Tawn and Brian Coleman, Dustin and Carrie Demetrakos, Chelsea Biard, Penny and Matt Jerman, Jason and Kriste Green, Shawna and Geoffrey Fry. She also had ten great-grandchildren: Jordane Keiffer, Silas, Eliana and Mikey Sanchas, Olivia, Christian, Annaliese and Irish Coleman, Jordanne, McKenzie and Rylee Demetrakos, and the eleventh great-grandchild due in November.
She was preceded in death by her mother Wilma and father Frank Bechtel.

My growing up years always included activities with the Keiffers. The love and laughter never stopped. Whenever I came to town, I always stopped to see Jo and give her a hug. She shall be missed and my heart goes out to the family. God bless you all!

You're in our thoughts and prayers. I remember your sweet Mama as a very special person. She's in a much better place now, but we know that doesn't keep you from missing her. Take care.

To Barbara's family & friends my love goes out to you all and we need to rely on God for the strenght to help us face each day and I am told in Philippians 4;13 that "For all things I have the strenght by virtue of him who imparts power to me" isn't that a lovely though that the God of all creation implores us in James 4;8 " to draw close to God and he will draw close to us" Stan

What a wonderful lady! She loved her children and she loved her children's friends. I am so glad I knew her when I was a kid. She made growing up easier. Barbara and her family will be in my prayers.
