Benjamin Kellogg Sellers

1947 - 2021

Benjamin Kellogg Sellers went home to heaven on Feb. 2, 2021. He was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on Feb. 11, 1947. He was raised by his mother and father, Joe and Vera Sellers. Ben joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from East Bakersfield High School where he played football and wrestled. After graduating from BJC he married the love of his life, Betty Jane Strickler. Ben began his career with the SP Railroad in 1970, where he worked for 35 years.

The Sellers family moved to Klamath Falls, Ore. in 1977. Ben loved coaching his sons in Soccer, Football and Wrestling. He believed in hard work and having fun! Playing his guitar was his favorite past time, along with bow hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and dogs. After his retirement Ben enjoyed taking Betty on vacations, one of their favorite places was the Oregon Coast.

Ben was proceeded in death by his parents, Joe and Vera Sellers and brothers Charles and John.

Ben leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years Betty, his three sons. Josh, Gabe and Jed (Denette) and grandchildren Izabelle and Graydon.
