Connie Mausshardt

Constance J. "Connie" Mausshardt, a resident of Klamath Falls, died October 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Connie was born on Feb. 10, 1939, in Denver, CO, to George & Dorothy Lill. After her primary education, she went on to the University of Nevada - Reno, majoring in Education. Upon graduation, Connie worked as a Flight Attendant for TWA from 1961-64. She later attained a master's degree in special education from Marymount College, and taught special education at Vienna Elementary and Louise Archer Elementary schools in Vienna, VA. She absolutely loved caring for, and educating, her special-ed students, many of whom continued on to college.

She married Donald Mausshardt in San Francisco on January 25, 1964. His career took them to Klamath Falls, OR; Honolulu, HI; Walnut Creek, CA; McLean, VA. In 1998, Connie and Don returned to Klamath Falls to the Running Y Ranch. Alongside her teaching positions, she was an invaluable corporate secretary in her husband's company.

Connie continually learned throughout her life: she enjoyed sewing, knitting, making stained glass, reupholstering a couch, studying the Bible, and Spanish classes. She was involved in civic organizations including the Assistance League and PEO.

Connie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Mausshardt; son Rod and wife Germaine, and daughter Sherrill and husband Jason; grandchildren Elijah, Abigail, and Isabella; a sister Marsha Bennett; and a brother Robert Lill.
