Daniel Page Obituary

Daniel Nathan Page passed away recently in Oregon.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1954, in The Dalles, Ore., and raised in Pendleton, Ore., from age 5.
He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1972. He was active in scouting and loved the outdoors.
The son of Donald Wayne Page and Elsalee Ellen Page, Dan worked with his father at Hoosier Machine Products in Pendleton until it closed, then worked at Prowler. He moved in 1989 to Sunriver, Ore., where he worked at the North Golf Course until 1994, worked at Sunriver Utility Company from 1994 to 2003, then worked from 2003 to 2004 at Cline Butte Utility in Redmond, Ore., where he operated a state-of-the-art "Caboda" Membrane Bioreactor. He then transferred to Running Y Resort Utility Company in Klamath Falls until 2008. His final residence was in Medford, Ore.
In his free time, more than anything else, Dan loved to shoot pool and became a member of many city leagues.
Known for his quick wit and keen sense of humor, Dan also loved music and was an avid reader - a great intellect with an amazing memory. He was a whiz at crossword puzzles and Sudoku. His knowledge of cars and ability to work on them came naturally and was a lifelong interest.
Dan is survived by his four sisters, who loved him very much, Kitty Anderson, Donalee LaFran, Sue Taylor, and Mary Safranek.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Dan from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at the M & J Tavern in Bend, Ore. All friends and family are invited.
