Einar Brandsness Obituary

Einar Charles "Chuck" Brandsness died on November 29, 2025, in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the age of 89 years. Born in Klamath Falls on May 19, 1936 to Einar and Elizabeth Brandsness, Chuck graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1955 and attended Southern Oregon College.

Chuck dedicated most of his productive life to a career in the United States Air Force, serving numerous years in the South Pacific and Canada. Thereafter, Chuck joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard, serving as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. While in Wisconsin he oversaw and provided support for children in need of care and attention.

In 2001 he returned to Klamath Falls to be nearer to family. Chuck was an avid community volunteer, dedicating his energy to the advancement of many causes. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a SMART Reading Coordinator, a member of the Klamath Republican Central committee, and an elected board member of the Klamath County 911 Emergency Communications, to name a few. Chuck assisted numerous parishes in the Klamath Basin with Catholic education, First Communion instruction and was an enthusiastic member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. If the OIT basketball team was having a home game, you could count on Chuck to be courtside cheering them on.

Preceded in death by his parents, and sister Mary; Chuck is survived by his brother Bill, nephews and nieces Pete, Andy, Betsy, Susan and Erik; numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as three foster sons: Andy, Gary, and Tom.

Chuck leaves behind his constant companion, supporter and best friend Mazie Wolf, and a community of close friends.
