Michael Fahner Obituary
Mike was born October 9th,1963 to Fredrick Werner Fahner and Jessie Pat Fahner (Rae) in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was raised in Tulelake, Ca and at a young age, Mike began working on his father's potato farm. He continued to help his family business before and after he left for college.
Mike's next chapter began when he met the love of his life, Deborah Lynne Pugh, in Economics 101 at the University Nevada Reno in 1982. Together they started a family, raising 4 children: Zachary Michael, Allyson Brooke, Jacob Cole and Meghan Jessica Fahner. He simultaneously founded the Cedar Point Strawberry Nursery, operating in Dorris, Ca, and he always managed to balance work and family time. Whether it was coaching his children in their respective youth sports, traveling to tournaments, boating on Lake Shasta, or enjoying the slopes of Mount Bachelor, Mike consciously made time for it all.
An industry pioneer, Mike was widely respected throughout the agriculture community. A true leader by example, he believed that actions speak louder than words. He was committed to his ideas and had the grit to keep going when many others would have thrown in the towel. Mike became a symbol of how far hard work can take you; the epitome of the American success story.
Cedar Point Nursery was his second family and home. His professional impact was etched in stone with his groundbreaking win in the US Supreme Court (Cedar Point Nursery vs. Hassid) in 2021. Yet another testament to Mike's principled character.
The man we all loved was many things. To his family, he was their rock, father, husband and guiding light. To his team at CPN, he was a leader and mentor. Mike shined bright for anyone that was fortunate to have him in their life. He is survived by his wife and children, his sister Cindy Johnson, and his parents Fredrick and Jessie Fahner
We invite you to celebrate Michael Fahner's life at First Presbyterian Church, 601 Pine street, Klamath Falls, Oregon, December 12, at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Running Y Ranch and Resort.
(The Fahner family kindly asks attending parties to please refrain from bringing young children.)

Praying for Fahner family and all employees @ Cedar Point. Mike will be missed. My dad and I have purchased many plants from Mike over the years and I know that Mike always tried to grow the best plants that he could. We had many good conversations of farming and ideas over the years and just a good friendship. Mike´s plants have done well for my family and I am thankful for that!
