We lived next door to Pat and family at Klamath Falls, Oregon. We came back to the Falls and stayed with Pat for one night when her son brought their first grandchild to meet Pat. I have always kept in touch at Christmas and this was a shock when my daughter found this on-line. We lost our son just before Pat lost her youngest daughter - it was a difficult time for both of us. I wish her son well and her grandchildren - she was a very special person. Loved you. Bette Kingston - SLC, Utah

I have known Pat since 1968 when we were neighbors at Kinsley Field base housing. We kept in contact thru the years and remained staunch friends. After she and Dick retired in Klamath Falls, I visited several times as I was in the Portland area. After I moved to Idaho, we visited by phone several times monthly and texting several times a week. Her passing has left a huge hole in my heart and in my life. Pat was a strong, strong person and a wonderful friend. Though we were separated by many miles, we remained close. We never missed birthdays and the day of hers, I spent the day at the hospital with a friend who was having hip surgery, then stayed with her after she came home. I didn't get home till after 9 p m, knowing she went to bed early, I texted her a birthday a wish and told her I would call her in the morning. I shall always regret not calling her first thing in the morning on the 23rd. Rick, I am sorry for your loss and that of your family. Patty, dear friend, rest well, breathe deep and easy. I love you and will miss you more than I can express.
