ABINGDON, Va.
Darryl Wayne Farmer, 65, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Darryl was a lifelong resident of the Parks Mill community in Abingdon, Va. He worked many years as an equipment operator at Barb and Shumaker and later at Lakeside Ready Mix. Darryl enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his dog, Snowball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Farmer and Pauline Morris Farmer; sister, Rebecca Hutton; and brothers, Denny Hutton and Scott Millsap.
Survivors include his children, Heather Farmer and Brandon Mann; sister, Diane Hutton; grandchildren, Colten Mitchell, Bret Mann, Shawn Mann, Jacob Lane, and Tyler Lane; several nieces, nephews; and his best friend, Margaret Toon.
The family will be having a private service.
