Ginger Marie Sanders Crenshaw

Ginger Marie Sanders Crenshaw, age 67, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born on October 28, 1955, to the late Ellison Leroy Sanders and Dora Lee Birch Sanders.

Ginger was a member of Yellow Springs Church. She worked at Johnston Memorial Hospital for 27 years in the neo-natal unit. She loved all animals, loved feeding birds and was known as the "dog whisperer."

In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Chatoney.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Mike Crenshaw; son, Brock Crenshaw and his wife, Kelley Raye; daughter, Brandy Marie Schuster; sister, Tina Siminoux; sister-in-law, Sue Chatoney; three grandchildren, Sophia Schuster, Emma Raye Crenshaw, and Hank Schuster; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Main Street chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The funeral was held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023, with Shayne Crenshaw officiating. The entombment was held 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum. Those wishing to attend the committal service were asked to be at the mausoleum by 10:45 a.m. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Toliver, Junior Cook, Pete Henry, Bud Norris, Bob Alexander, Joe Findley and Bud Mann.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Yellow Springs Church, 27365 Yellow Springs Rd., Meadowview, VA 24361.
