Jessie Vernon Blevins, 86, passed away at his home in Marion, on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Vernon was a lifetime member of Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Ethel Blevins; brothers, Gordon Blevins, Joe Blevins, Kenneth Blevins, and Howard Blevins; sisters, Lois Coe and Ellen Lundy; mother and father-in-law, Homer Aker Sr. and Emily Aker; and sister-in-law, Shirley Blevins and husband, Clifton Blevins Sr.

Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth Aker Blevins; children, Gregg Blevins and wife, Annette, Sara Johnson and husband, David, and Kenneth Morris and wife, Vickie; grandchildren, Victoria Blevins, Zachary Blevins, Maegan Wilson and husband, Tanner, Scott Dennard, Ruby Dennard, Cole Hiatt, Jessie Johnson and wife, Hannah, Adam Johnson, and Alexandria Lefler, Luke Morris and Brooklyn Cannon, and Emma Morris; great-grandchildren, Kelin Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Naomi Young, Kyrie Dennard, and Oaklynn Rae Johnson; brother-in-law, Homer Aker Jr. and wife, Carroll.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Eller officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Cleghorn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 15, 2021, from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.
