Larry Nipper Obituary
September 12, 1964 - July 11, 2023
Larry Douglas Nipper, 58, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 12, 1964, in Richlands, Va., a son of Marvin Henry Nipper and the late Thelma Ruth Altizer Nipper. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Eugene Nipper.
Larry was a wonderful and devoted son to his parents always willing to help with their care. He also enjoyed car racing and football.
Survivors include his father, Marvin Nipper, Abingdon, Va.; two brothers, Steven Eugene Nipper and wife, Connie, of Christiansburg, Va., and Robert Henry Nipper of Marion, Va.; five nieces and nephews, two great nieces; his special canine companion, Lucky; and a very close friend, Ronnie Brown.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2023, at Singleton Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mark Baumgardner, Pastor Ronnie Sparks and Pastor John Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, Va.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Gideons International, c/o Steve Carter, P.O. Box 3243, Lebanon, VA 24266.
