Maxine G. Talley

June 10, 1943 - October 17, 2021

SALTVILLE, Va.

Maxine Galliher Talley, age 78, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. She was a very faithful Christian and a true believer in her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. "Pug" Talley Jr.; parents, Fred and Denton Galliher; brothers, Jimmy and John Galliher; sisters, Elizabeth Eller and Revonda Lamie; and granddaughter, Maxie Marie Stanley.

Maxine is survived by her son, Charles F. Talley, III and wife, Jackie; daughters, Betty Stanley and husband, Frank, and Rosetta Beverly and husband, Michael; sisters, Phillis Puckett (Swanson), Darlene Kimberlin, and Ida Marie Kessee (Alan); brothers, Sammy Galliher, Freddy Galliher, Joey Galliher (Kim), Paul Galliher, and Buddy Galliher (Karen); grandchildren, Heather Stanley, M.J. Beverly, Austin Stanley, Dalton Beverly, Maya Stanley and Chris Stanley; great-grandchildren, Emma Beverly and Elliana Beverly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Henderson Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends after the services Thursday evening at Maxine's home.
