BENNIE BOB HALL
Bennie Bob Hall, a lifelong resident of
Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2025, at the age of 67.
Bennie Bob shared a playful and devoted marriage with his wife, Becky George, whom he married on May 28, 1978. They were happily married for 47½ years, a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and love. His love for Becky was unmistakable and full of playful mischief including - his ongoing "threat" to buy her a monkey online and have it delivered to their home.
Bennie Bob found great joy in music and had a special love for playing the steel guitar, performing in bands in his younger years and later playing simply for the love of it at home. His love for music poured over into the lives of Apryl and Austin, becoming part of the family's story.
In his younger days, he had a love for motorcycles and dirt bikes and carried that passion forward into a lifelong fascination with anything that moved or had speed trains, planes, and just about anything with an engine.
Throughout Austin's youth, Bennie Bob poured his heart into coaching baseball. Many of Austin's teammates will always remember him for those years standing on the field, offering guidance, encouragement, and steady support.
Bennie Bob was a lifelong animal lover who never went long without a four-legged sidekick. Paw prints and fur were simply part of a home filled with love.
Bennie Bob began his career at Texas Instruments before following his curiosity and love of technology into the world of IT in its earliest days. He later worked at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, then Region 10, and ultimately Melissa ISD, where he retired. At Melissa ISD, he encouraged his son, Austin, to apply in the IT department. Austin later worked his way up to Director of Technology, a milestone that filled Bennie Bob with pride.
For a brief time, Bennie Bob served as a Reserve Officer and Chief of the Police Reserves with the Sherman Police Department, a role he held with honor and a deep sense of responsibility to his community.
He was known for his humor and his handsome smile, and his family liked to say he never left the house without every hair exactly where it belonged.
Bennie Bob was a lifelong Christian whose faith was a foundation of his life. His love for the Lord shaped who he was and how he lived, and it carried him gently into eternity.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47½ years, Becky Hall of Sherman; his daughter, Apryl, and his son, Austin, both of Denison; his two cherished grandchildren; his mother, Audell Hall; his sister, Cheriana Bowen; his brother-in-law, Larry Bowen; and his niece, Lariann Bowen.
He is also survived by many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family who were blessed to share life with him.
