BOB GOWER

BOB GOWER Bob Gower passed peacefully from his earthly home to his Heavenly home in the early morning hours of December 4, 2025, at the age of 92. He was dearly loved by family and a host of friends and neighbors. He devoted his life and love to his wife Oraline and to his four daughters. He was a hardworking man who loved his land, cattle, and farming. From his early days of growing cotton to peanut crops, soybean crops, loads of delicious watermelons to even a crop of broccoli at one time, he loved working the land. He shared that work with his son-in-law Terry Beal, who spent 50 years working by his side. That special bond continued until his death, with Terry and the 4 daughters devoting time to keeping him at home, happy and comfortable until his last breath. He was a quiet man with a big heart. Bob is survived by his loving family, daughters Sandy Powell and husband Danny, Debbie Black and husband Barry, Bobette Hamner and husband Darrell and Vicki Beal and husband Terry. Nine grandchildren, Brandon Powell, Dustin Powell, Courtney Clement, Evan Black, Colin Black, Jordan Poteet, Bobby Beal, Victor Beal, and Elise Horn. Eighteen great-grandchildren Paislee Powell, Preslee Powell, Pasenne Powell, Ashton Powell, Brennan Powell, Brody Clement, Bristol Clement, Jessie Poteet, Remi Poteet, Morgan Beal, Bailey Beal, Mason Beal, Ranslee Beal, Ryan Beal, Kiera Horn, Kenley Horn, Declan Black and Amelia Black along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Victor Gower and Goldie Mae Taylor Gower, his wife Oraline Gower and his grandson Jesse Walker. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2025, at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Park Avenue Minister Todd Catteau officiating. The family will meet at the chapel one hour before the service for friends and family time. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Brandon Powell, Dustin Powell, Bobby Beal, Victor Beal, Evan Black, and Colin Black. Services are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. A special thanks goes to his additional caregivers, Raley Pribble, Ashley Tharpe, Barbara Grant, Leah Grant, and Candice Burch at Heart-to-Heart Hospice. "A life that touches others goes on forever".
