Holly Manna Obituary
Born in Nacogdoches, Holly attended Decatur High School and later transferred to Denison High School where she was Drum Major of the Golden Band from Jacket Land."
Returning to her home town, Holly graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation, Holly used her love of music to steal the heart of Michael Manna whom she married in 1994.
Working in various capacities of the Health Information Technology industry, Holly decided to retire from her professional career in 2000 when she assumed the new title of Mom and CEO of the growing Manna household.
A life-long Methodist, Holly spent her entire adult life as a active member of Christ United Methodist Church, Farmers Branch, where she participated in various committees, served four consecutive terms as Lay Delegate to the North Texas Annual Conference and three years as Head of Family Ministries. She touched the lives of many with adults by heading up CUMC's marriage enrichment classes and facilitating Financial Peace University. Holly touched the lives of even more children as a junior high youth counselor and Director of Children's Chimers for many years.
Holly had a the remarkable ability to inspire everyone she met from her friends at Bible Fellowship Studies to her Nurses and Doctors that helped with her courageous fight with Breast cancer.
Holly is survived by her husband, Michael and their two children, Joseph and Madeline of Carrollton; her parents, Delbert and Loretta Chappell of Denison; sister, Dee Anna Chappell of Denison; and grandmother, Estelle Chappell of Longview.
A viewing will be held from 5 -9 p.m Wednesday, August 1, at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas,Texas 75234. A worship service honoring Holly's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 2, at Christ United Memorial Church, 2807 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
