RANDOLPH - Graveside services for Jack Lindal Morgan, 75, of Randolph will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 in Randolph Lindsey Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. David Brackett and Rev. Daniel Caldwell will officiate. Jack passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at his residence.
Jack was born Jan. 11, 1933 in Randolph, the son of Dewey Morgan and Lindal Lois Shelley Morgan. He attended Randolph schools and was a member of Randolph Baptist Church. He married Anna Bell "Bugs" Redmon, June 9, 1988. Jack worked in the oil fields, cattle feeders and landscaping. He enjoyed fishing and visiting in the Randolph coffee shop with his buddies. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Morgan; a sister, Helen Erwin; and a stepson, Freddie Shastid.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Bell "Bugs" Morgan of Randolph; sons, Terry Morgan and wife, Francis of Southland, and Donnie Morgan and wife, Nannette of China Springs; daughters, Kim Morgan of Burleson, Melinda and husband Greg and Melanie Morgan, all of Henderson; little dog, Ginger of the home; stepsons, Ted Shastid and David Shastid, both of Bonham; brother, Charles Morgan and wife, Billie Norris of Saginaw; sisters, Sheila Landry of Holly Lake, and Deanie Miller of Longview; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and five step greatgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Ownby, Eugene Blackerby, Jackie Mullenix, Bill Shelley, David Shastid, and Teddy Shastid.
