JOHN HUDSON John Arlon "Skippy" Hudson, 57, passed away on November 28, 2025, in Denison, Texas. Born on December 19, 1967, in Denton, Texas, John lived a life full of energy, laughter, and dedication to his passions. A proud graduate of Denison High School, John began working on vehicles in his early teens. What started as a youthful interest quickly grew into a lifelong career spanning more than three decades. His deep knowledge and love for automobiles eventually led him to open his own garageSkippy's Automotivea place that became not only a business but a gathering spot for friends and fellow car enthusiasts alike. John was known for his vibrant personality. He was very lovable, outgoing, and funnytraits that endeared him to all who knew him. His favorite sayings, "Dammit man" and "You're damn Skippy," were as iconic as the man himself and often brought smiles to those around him. Outside of work, John found joy in the great outdoors and the thrill of competition. He loved fishing and hunting and was an avid fan of football and NASCAR. His passion for racing extended beyond the stands; he enjoyed racing cars himself and spent countless hours working on racecars with the same dedication he brought to every aspect of his life. John's faith was rooted in Christianity, which guided him throughout his journey. He cherished his friendships deeply and had a special way of making everyone feel like family. He is survived by his sons Shane Hargis and Bobby Hargis and their wives Brigit and Katie Hargis. Grandkids Hayden, Hudson, Jonathan, Dillan, Holly, Brooklynn, Jalen, Kason, and Logan. Great Grandkid Shawn Hargis. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlon Wesley Hudson, and his mother, Grace Hudson. A funeral service was held in Denison, Texas.
