Kathy Scribner Obituary

Mrs. Kathy Lynn Hendricks Scribner of Anna, Texas passed away Friday at her residence in Anna.

She was born November 1, 1950 in McKinney, Texas the daughter of Cecil L. and Johnnie Kemp Hendricks. She married Bobby Scribner February 14, 1969 in Melissa and he preceded her in death September 7, 2002. Kathy was employed by the Collin County Clerks office in McKinney and had worked for the county 30 years. Kathy was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church and she is survived by her children; Cinda Owen and husband Coby of Anna, Texas and Bradley Scribner and wife Christy of Caddo Mills, Texas. She is also survived by her mother Johnnie Hendricks of Blue Ridge, Texas and 1 brother Clifford Hendricks and his wife Jackie of Blue Ridge, Texas. Kathy is survived by 5 grandchildren; Connor Owen, Chesney Owen, Brody Scribner, Sydney Scribner and Grayson Scribner.

She was also preceded in death by her father Cecil Lee Henricks and brother John Duwe Hendricks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Fike and Rev. Shawn Bailey officiating and interment will be in the Stoney Point Cemetery following the services. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Sunday evening at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

I always enjoyed Katy's sunny disposition. She always carried about how my family was doing. I will miss her smile, and her laugh. Remembering Kathy in the best light will be easy and I will look forward to seeing her on the other side.
