Kevin Collier

1958 - 2018

Kevin Collier was born in Altus, Oklahoma, on October 12, 1958. He moved with his family to Texas at an early age and lived most of his life there, in Flat, Irving, and most recently in Denison. He graduated from Denison High School in 1976. After graduation, he worked in the family rock masonry business, becoming an accomplished rock mason. Later he was employed with L.O.F. in Sherman for 18 years. He was most recently employed by Spectrum in Denison as a fork lift operator.
Kevin was an avid country music fan, having been inspired by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Merle Haggard in particular. He played the guitar himself and loved to sing country music. Kevin was a loving and caring person. He spent several years of his life caring for his aging mother in her home. He was loved by everyone who knew him because he was so positive and pleasant.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, W. A. Collier and Faye Walker and his stepfather, Troy Walker. He is survived by four brothers and one sister; Bob Collier and wife Linda of Carl Junction, Missouri, Mike Collier and wife Betty of Altus, Oklahoma, Ricky Collier of Denison, Texas, Troy Walker and wife Kim of Denison, and Tammy Riddle and husband Billy of Sherman, Texas.
A Celebration of Life for Kevin will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 2, at the American Funeral Service Chapel. There will be a visitation time with the family at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
