Linda Lee Kraeger, age 61, of West Knoxville died tragically Sunday, July 27, 2008. A native of Guthrie, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Roma M. and Lenora B. Thronesbery.
Mrs. Kraeger was an English instructor at Grayson County College in Denison for 25 years, and founded Grayson's chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society. She was National President of Sigma Kappa Delta from 2001-2003, and established its first national literary magazine, "Hedera Helix." A published author, lifelong student, and active humanitarian, she was a member of Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Westside Unitarian Universalist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Duane Kraeger of Knoxville; sisters, Mary Beth Reece of Dallas and Sharon Campbell of Fort Worth; nieces, Debbie Campbell of Oak Ridge, Jennifer Walton of Fort Worth and Randa Gonzales of Dallas; and her nephew Mickey Hill of Shawnee, Okla.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 10 at Westside Unitarian Universalist Church.
