Michael "Stoney" Stone

1972 - 2018

Michael Stone "Stoney" of Savoy, Texas, passed away February 7, 2018. Mike was born October 21, 1972, in Newark, Ohio. He married Misty Stone on November 26, 1993 in Sherman, Texas.
Mike loved classic cars, especially "Blackie" a 1972 Chevy pickup truck. He was an outdoorsman and loved camping at the lake if the temperature was right. Mike was a people person and loved to visit. He loved to barter and lived out the motto "one man's trash is another man's treasure". Mike loved his family and was always willing to help a neighbor.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Stone; daughter, Lindsey Stone; and son, Jonny Stone, and niece Makayla Caloway all of Savoy, Texas; mother Betty Kelley of Ohio; father Jennings Stone of Ohio; grandmother, Maria Swaney of Savoy, Texas; brother Eric Stone of Ohio; sister Ava Donovan of Ohio; mother-in-law Terri Rice of Whitewright; and lots of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather John Kelley; grandfather Willard Swaney; sister-in-law Miranda Caloway and husband Bryan; and father-in-law Ron Rice.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Savoy, Texas. Pallbearers will be David Phipps, Mark Royal, Kendall Kerzee, Junior, Donnie Foster, and Aaron Dillon. Officiating the service will be Bro. Allen McCauley and Bro. Jeremiah Orr. The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Bells, Texas.
