We have all done our best to enjoy-and weather-Al's antics up to this point, but he is God's problem now.
Alan David Roth was born in Everett, to parents Bob and Hannah Roth Al had two brothers Jim and Dan he lived most of his life in Marysville
He was always very mechanical he could fix just about anything in 1958 he built and raced in the soapbox derby in Seattle which he won, and then went to Akron Ohio and came in eighth in the world
Al graduated from Marysville high school in 1965
He served his country in the United States Army in Germany After his service, Al continued to live a life defined by adventure and curiosity. He traveled the world, with many trips across the US and Mexico and at one point traveling around the world with his friend Fritz going through Alaska cross Russia and Europe by rail and cruise ship home
Al always had about three projects going and was always willing to help just about anybody who had a problem, especially a mechanical problem.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Yes indeed, and God can handle us quite well.
Very sorry to hear about Al, especially since he was just two years older than I am.
The Bible tells us in Romans 14:12 "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."
I had one of my employees tell me once, that he didn't have to do anything except die. He never cared that I was his boss and gave instructions. Well, God, who created this world and put the breath in me when I was born, will take that breath away the instant I die and I will stand (most likely on my knees with head on my knees) and give account on judgement day.
May well all be prepared; we only get one chance with no replays, no get out of jail free cards, it is over here on earth when we die.
Romans 10:9-13 is a good instruction for us. John 3:16 as well.
My condolences to you all.

Al was one of my cherished cousins, and more importantly, a friend! We always managed to cross paths several times a year. How many times I was in north Marysville and I thought, I should stop in to see him, but, maybe next time? All of the sudden, there aren't any more "next times"! Miss you Al!

One of my oldest and favorite memories, probably 1964 or so. Watching Al, Duane Ardohain and my brother Dennis doing engine swaps in our driveway.
Every time I ran into him he had his trademark smile on his face. My oldest grandaughter Hannah and him became good car show buddies.
Gone too soon. RIP Al.

I´m going to miss you my friend... one of my first friends when I came upon the Marysville scene in the early 70´s... always had a jug of Black Velvet in the trunk for sipping. Favorite memories were when you and Bill Selman came up to Lake Sam for ice skating and we pulled out a bottle of Dramboui and slid it across the ice for sipping...Great times with you my friend....h

I was in shock when cousin Jerry called with the news of Al's passing. Al and his smile will be sadly missed. He was so good about visiting Gary when Gary was hospitalized and in assisted living. Gary immensely enjoyed his visits. Two cousins in heaven.

Many people are hurting over your passing. I´m sad my husband didn´t get to see your treehouse but I´m sure you´re up to something amazing up there. My dad has been waiting for you and I know he´s welcoming you warmly.

Al will forever and always be "uncle Al", he was such a wonderful friend to both of my parents since meeting my mom Rose in kindergarten. I'll miss going to cruisin colby, running in to him at strawberry fest, and all of the family events over the years. He always showed up for the birthday and anniversary parties that my family had! He always had a smile and hug and I always knew he was just down the road if I needed someone. Uncle Al, we will miss you terribly! I cant wait to see the treehouse you build in heaven!!
