I believe Alice was one of my neighbors when I was growing up on Rucker Hill. A lovely lady, may she rest peacefully!

My Family & I moved across the street from Alice & Ray Clark in the early 60 s when I was a toddler, joined later by my brother Michael in 63, Alice was a fixture in our neighborhood & always kept an eye out for all us kids, if you needed a scolding or an atta boy or girl she was there, my 1st paid job was $3 for taking care of their 2 siamese cats when she & Ray went on a 2 week fishing trip {and, of course, I spent the $ at the Laurel Dr grocery on candy!} Her Christmas displays of all our neighborhood houses were legendary! Quite a lady! She will be missed!

I am going to miss you so much! It was a honor taking care of you the last few years. I loved our talks and how you were going to spank my butt for being bossy! You are surrounded by your loved ones now! You took care of so many people and now it´s time for you rest and enjoy! You were the best grandma!

Reading Alice's obituary this morning brought back many memories from the 1950's and 60's. Barbara and Harold Goodridge were friends and I met Barbara's parents through them. Alice and Ray were outgoing, loving people and I treasured their friendship. We lost touch as the years went by, but I have never forgotten them. To Alice's family: I know you will miss her, but your many years with her are a wonderful legacy and I hope the priceless memories will comfort you and bring you joy. God bless each one of you.
