I went searching the internet for kids I grew up with here in 2024 and am saddened by finding that Alvin passed away many years ago. We lost touch over the years, but at one time we were fairly close and I remember Alvin being such a nice kid and had a really good heart. I was gladened to hear through the grapevine how Alvin had done well for himself. Alvin was a paperboy and delivered the Seattle Times and went on to parlay his affection for newspapers into becoming (what I heard) a typesetter for the Times daily printout. Up side of finding this sad news is seeing the input of the Remingtons (Ethel and Roland)....Wayne and Russel (both now deceased) lived between our parents houses. May Alvin rest in peace, and receiving his just rewards for having such a kind and loving heart. old friend Mark Patterson

Linda,
There are no good words to express the loss of a friend or loved one. Your short time with him will always be with you. He will be remembered in our memories of the biggest fish story and the fun camping with all the guys and gals. We will miss him.

As so many others, we never seem to keep in touch with our extended friends and families of old. Am so sorry we weren't able to stay in touch also. Alvin was such a cute little boy. your babysitter from Edmonds.

Linda, Danica and family:
It was a pleasure to have known Al just for the short time that I did...I'll always remember the fun we (Linda and Al and I) had at the Andal Ranch and the sharing of a glass of "red" wine during dinner! May he rest in peace till we all meet again!

Uncle Al the Kiddies Pal will be missed greatly. He will forever live in my heart and memories. On August 9, 2007 he joined his older sister Eva in heaven who passed away on October 8, 2006 also due to cancer. I was reading a daily thoughts calender that I received from my mother Eva this morning. The passage for today says it all. "Whatever happens, do not lose hold of the two main ropes in life - hope and faith." All my love and sympathy go out to Linda, Danica and the rest of the family. Always remember the ones you love are never farther away than your memories and the love that is always in your heart. His loving niece Lora.
