Archibald Koester Obituary

Archibald I. Koester, Jr.

Archie ("Butch") Koester left his family on September 27, 2003, to be with our Lord after an extensive and brave battle with multiple sclerosis.
He was born in Huntington, WV on June 21, 1941 to Archibald Koester Sr. and Hilda Mae (Plantz). Raised in a military family, Butch had the opportunity to travel and live in many parts of the country. Upon his father's retirement from the U.S. Navy, Butch and his family settled in Seattle where he graduated from Franklin High School in 1959. He worked at Boeing Aircraft plants from Auburn to Everett from 1961 until his retirement in 1991. Butch was a proud member of the Lake City Western Vigilantes and assisted in many charitable programs before his onset with MS. Butch enjoyed meeting people and socializing, and made several friends throughout his life. He will be dearly missed.
Butch is survived by his brother and sister, five children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services are to be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 10:00am and an open house memorial will be held the following weekend from 1:00 until 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, Butch requested that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
Butch, you are forever in our hearts and we love you very much.
