Bette Moore Obituary
Bette came into this world on 04/12/1927 in Mount Vernon,Washington. She was born to Maurice Hamilton and Lula Mae (Wolfkill) Hamilton. She left this world on 09/27/2025. She felt she had lived a long and blessed life and was a very lucky person....blaming all her "luck" on God. She was proceeded in death by her much loved husband, Gleason Moore; her parents; a treasured brother, Conrad Hamilton and a half sister, Mona Moors. Surviving are her grandchildren Hamilton Haley, Sara Dalton, Jennifer Dalton, and Jaime Peccorini. Additionally are children by marriage of Gleason: William Moore, Terry Mynar, and Kit Vander Sys. Also, a daughter Bonnie Blackwell. There are many family members that were close to her, Jeanie Hamilton and Marlene Moore, sisters in law that qualified as sisters. Her great grandson Johnathan Hamilton was dear to her. More grandchildren and greats, Kelly,Chris, Ashley, and Andrea, Fred, Joe, and Leo,Vaughn,Etta, Melissa, Morgan, and her first GREAT GREAT Granddaughter, Meilani Rose Hamilton. Bette's niece and nephews, Dana, Scotty, and Troy always made her smile and their boys: Brandon, Nicholas,Issac,Andrew, and Blake. Bette traveled extensively as a military wife, made many life long friends but was glad when she was able to settle in the Pacific Northwest. She and Gleason shared a passion for golf and they went to many distant places with friends to test new territories. She felt golf had been good to her and she gave back in many ways. She served as President of Washington State Women's Public Links Association in 1975, as well as many years on that Board and then as Hall of Fame Chairman in Pacific Northwest Golf Association eight years. During all those years she stayed active in local golf and was Snohomish County Women's Golf champion in 1982 and in 1985. In 2018, she accomplished the goal of shooting her age, 91, on the golf course....and to add to that was the bonus of having her second hole in one in May 2018. Those close to her know she genuinely cared about each and every one of them. Bette will be dearly missed.
