Betty Jane Milliren
Douglas

Betty Jane Milliren Douglas passed away August 21, 2010, at the age of 84. She was born January 1, 1926 in Powell, Nebraska. For all of whom were blessed with Betty's love and friendship, know that she is no longer in pain or discomfort. She is now tending plants in the beautiful garden of Heaven.
Betty was married for 63 years to Keith R. Douglas, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children; Dan (Evie), Debbie (Tom), and Diane, and her four grandchildren.
Throughout Betty's life she enjoyed being wife, mother, grandma and homemaker. Her passions in life were her beautiful garden and enjoying the birds. She was active for over 25 years as a Snohomish County Master Gardener.
The family is hosting a remembrance gathering at the family home on Sunday September 19, 2010, from 12 to 4.
Betty enjoyed her flowers while she was living, so the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Master Gardener Foundation, C/O WSU Snohomish County Extension 600 128th SE, Everett, WA 98208

I will never forget all of the memories I have of Betty AND Doug! Some of the best memories were when our families got together for potluck dinners, the Chinese themed ones were my favorites! Then there were the times we spent at Lake Goodwin catching crawdads with our flashlights in hand. And how about that Halloween costume party? I think Betty was dressed as a... oh, maybe I shouldn't say! Pinochle with my folks was a constant in our lives. And then there were the times we made scarecrows and also wreaths in the basement! There are too many memories to name them all and I will cherish them forever! Having my own personal master gardener to consult with was a real treat also! Dan, Debbie, and Diane and families...you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Miss Betty! You were always kind and smiling whenever I seen you. I will miss seeing you and your daughter here at GHC.
