Dan Logan Taylor

Dan Logan Taylor, 82, of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2025.

He was born on September 3, 1942, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Gertrude and Walter "Bud" Taylor. After graduating from Ashland High School in 1961, Dan served in the U.S. Air Force in Fire Protection until 1965, completing his service at Paine Field in Everett.

That same year, he met the love of his life, Colleen Reiner. They married in October 1965 and built a life together in Everett, raising two children, Nancy and Dan II.

Dan joined the Everett Fire Department in 1969, where he proudly served the community for 23 years before retiring in 1992. In retirement, he worked at Costco in Everett, where he enjoyed greeting familiar faces and staying connected with the community he loved.

Dan is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Colleen; his children, Nancy and Dan II; and his grandchildren, Max Duell and his "favorite granddaughter," Nikki Duell.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. Dan asked to be cremated and remembered simply for the man he was.
