Daniel Frohning Obituary

Untitled

Daniel Charles Frohning

Born November 5, 1986, in Monroe, Washington, Daniel Charles Frohning, entered into the arms of Jesus on October 14, 2006.
Dan was raised on the Frohning family farm in the Tualco Valley. He was loved and respected by his family, friends and the dairy farming community. Dan was employed at Town & Country and was very active in the 4-H Dairy program and Washington State Jr. Holstein Association. He received numerous awards while traveling to and competing in state and National 4-H and Jr. Holstein competitions. He was known nationwide as a bright and rising star in the dairy industry.
On the dairy, Dan enjoyed hands-on work with the animals. He vaccinated cattle, completed routine veterinary work, assisted with calving, milked, fed and participated in the breeding selection. Much time was spent in discussion with his father and the various salesmen in selection of a bull for the herd.
He mentored younger 4-H members, showing and caring for their animals. More importantly, he led the way in generosity, serving as a friend, and showing how to have the most fun in any situation. He loved his cows, hunting, football, his fast and loud red truck, hearing and telling stories and his beautiful yellow lab, Jake.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Elmer Frohning and Ronald Snow.
He leaves behind his parents, Tim and Sandi Frohning; brothers, Matt, Timmy Lee and Douglas; grandmothers, Joan Snow and Betty Frohning; aunts, Aunt Terri (Tim) Hemman, Aunt Peggy Frohning, Aunt Pat (Les) Flickner, Nancy (Vic) Skoglund, Caryl Munn, and Pat Pietsch; uncles, Larry Ledford, Uncle Joe (Erin) Munn, and Bert (Marlene) Frohning; his special cousins, David, Neil, Nate, Jessica, Scott and Renee, and many more cousins; his very special sweetheart, Heather Brannon; extended family; and his special buddies and his Dairy family.
Viewing will be held from 3 until 6 p.m., Sunday, October 22, at Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, 409 W. Main Street, Monroe. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23, at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds Arena, 14405 179th Avenue S.E., Monroe. We will be having a potluck party for Dan, so bring on the food and dress in layers as the building may be drafty.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel Frohning Memorial Fund at Washington Mutual Bank.

Tim and Sandi,
We were saddened to hear about Danny and the pain you are experiencing. You are an amazing family whose faith is evident and lived daily. Jill remembers years ago when we were having dinner at your place and Danny "saved" her from an aggressive rooster! We are praying for God's peace for you and wonderful memories of Dan to last a lifetime!

Tim & Sandi,

My parents told me of your great loss, and of your display of love and courage. Reading the news stories about you and about the support you've received from people in the Valley makes me both proud and a little homesick. May grace and peace be with you, and may you know God's comforting touch.

On behalf of the entire Smeenk family our hearts and prayers go out to the Frohnings in this time of sadness. I enjoyed spending time with your boys in Idaho and at various shows. Dan was the most genuine person with a wonderful personality.

Dear Frohning Family,
I met you and your son Dan a year ago at the fair. My son Will has wanted to raise and show a dairy cow. Dan was so kind to him and took the time to answer his questions. This year at the fair he saw us and told Will he was old enough to be in 4H. Our whole family was so sad to hear of his death. Your son made a wonderful impression on our 9 year old. We will truly miss him! We take comfort in knowing that Dan knew the Lord as his Savior. I pray that you will feel God's comforting presence during this very difficult time. God Bless

Tim,
I want to thank you. You have shown me more in the past week what it means to be a man of God than I have learned in my 45 some years. God bless you and your family Tim.

Dear Peggy and Patty,
This is John Merritt, and I want you to know I'm sorry for your loss. I was watching Channel 13 news this Sunday evening when Daniel's name was briefly mentioned, and I started to look for a connection to you. I hope that you do write back to me, and someday we can meet again. I will not be able to make it to the fairgrounds on Monday.

We extend to the Frohning family our love and prayers. It is obvious from what we have read, witnessed on TV and heard from those in town, that Dan was a truly fine young man, but most importantly, he had given his heart to Christ - above all, that was the most important. What a blessed hope we have in Christ. God bless you all and remember, Dan is waiting at the Eastern Gate.

Tim, Sandi and Family:

Only God knows why Danny has been choosen to be called home with him, and why you have been given this difficult path to walk.
We are holding you and your family up in prayer to the God who gives life physical and eternal. Your son lived a life that was God's light to many. May the Lord give you peace even in this time of unimaginable sorrow, and may He comfort you and your whole family as you take one day at a time with the Lord Jesus at your side. Our sincere condolences

My heart goes out to you at this sad time and in the days ahead. You will cherish every memory you have of Dan. We are all blessed to have our children - and these kinds of things are so hard to understand. But your strength and love of family will help get you through this. Dan is with God - Tony - and grandpa Elmer now and they will watch over him and help you all through this difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Yours has always been a very special and close family.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. You don’t know us as we are fairly new to the tractor club but want to share with you how your son touched our lives. In the days before the show this past August, I was dropping off some pop at the clubhouse and while I was wandering around, Dan drove by with a couple of other boys in an atv/utility type vehicle. He stood up, gave the biggest smile you’ve ever seen, waved at me then drove on by. At the time I figured he was probably "one of the Frohning boys" and I thought to myself, what a nice young man and what fun he’s having. It wasn't until this past week after seeing his pictures that I knew his name. That smile made my day and why something that seems so trivial was clearly etched into my mind, right now only God knows. May it comfort you to know that Dan is in Heaven smiling and may God give you strength as you go through this difficult time. Please accept our condolences.

I miss you Dan. You were a great friend.

Dan Frohning will be remembered as a remarkable young man. There is a saying that I do not know the origin of but it goes something like this, "There are some souls that are simply too special to remain on this earth very long." Dan was one of these people. He was incredibly kind, very generous and phenomenally funny. Dan and his brothers always took care of my farm when my family would take an annual family vacation during the summer.I don't think we've ever had a vacation without the assistance of the Frohning boys.
Dan had his father's quick wit with a joke and his mother's sensitivity. Also, he was a pro at what he did for the Frohning Family Farm dairy genetics. We have lost a true friend. Everyone who knew Dan loved him dearly. He possessed a remarkable gift to make everyone he met feel very comfortable. He accepted people as they were - unconditionally.
The valley will never be the same. Danny believed strongly in the Lord and he lived his faith each moment of the day. We know he is safe in the kingdom and the glory of God.
Let us all pray for Tim, Sandi, Matt, Timothy Lee and Doug and their extended family and embrace this family with love during this very emotional time. With much love to the Frohning Family - Linnea Epstein

Tim and Sandi,
We send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We did not know Dan much, but we do remember him. His was the only name of your kids we could remember. We have asked our son Albert to show him around in Heaven. We know how much you are hurting in your hearts. You will never get over this, but you will get through it. He will never be forgotten. I did not realize that he was only about a month older than Albert. It has been 5 years (Oct. 15) since Albert lost his young life and it does not get any easier. We are praying for you and your families to get you through your sorrow. Every day you will think of him and remember how much fun you had together. God be with you.
