Dorothy Garrison Obituary
Dorothy graduated from Manhattan High School, Manhattan, Kansas, class of 1942, and worked for the war effort before going to Kansas State University and graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN, class of 1948. Dorothy married George E. Garrison on December 26, 1949, at Magnolia Lutheran Church in Seattle, WA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters Alma and Naomi as well as her brother Norman. Surviving her are her children, Katherin G. Bowen of Monroe, WA, Timothy Garrison of Burlington, WA, Paul Garrison of Detroit, MI and Joel Garrison (JoLynn) of Monroe, WA. As well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th at Morning Star Lutheran Church, 412 South Lewis Street, Monroe, WA 98272. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lutheran World Relief or the Dorothy K Garrison Endowed Research Fund in Diabetes at U of W Medicine.

Kaye, Tim, Paul and Joel, we are so sorry to hear of your Mother, Dorothy's passing. Please accept our heart felt condolences. Dorothy was a beautiful, genteel Lady. My family, the McCoys, grew up across the street from your family. We will remember her fondly. Sincerely, Linda and John Drake

My sincere condolences to your family. While I only knew and worked for your mother one summer, I got to know Joel pretty well. I had cleaned out the lot next to my parent's home and your mother came over and offered me a job cleaning out a path around the quarry, with one condition, that I work Joel into the ground. As I remember it, Joel worked me into the ground.
