Fred was truly a different and wonderful sort of individual. Totally dedicated to Scouting and helping boys become young men through the Eagle program. He spent more time interviewing and helping boys than he did with his insurance clients. And he did well, very well at both. What a legacy he leaves!

Becky, my forever gratitude to Fred, for his example and thousands of hours given to his Scouts, and to you, the Scout widow, on the endless number of weekends Fred led his boys to new adventures. We left Snohomish for Maine in 1986. His legacy lives on in my son Joe, one of Fred's Eagles. Thank you to both of you.

Fred, so long for now my friend. We as fellow insurance agents never talked about Scouting which I was very involved with as a youngster but never to the level of yourself, thank you so much for that. And I enjoyed our talks about business as well. Rest well my friend. God Bless.

Fred was a generous and inspirational man. I got to know him through our sons involvement in BSA Troop 36. We joined the troop long after Fred hung up his uniform, but benefited from his kindness. Our boys and all of the boys of Troop 35 loved Fred's place. Fred had property on the Stillaguamish River just outside Darrington, that Troop 36 called theirs. The boys ALWAYS had a great time at Fred's Place. Thank you Fred Banghart for teaching us all how to live our lives. To your family and friends I pray that God will give you comfort.

Thank you for your love of Scouting. I was truly blessed to have you as my Scoutmaster. You made a tremendous impact on the lives of many young men and I am proud to be one of Fred's Eagle Scouts. Your legacy lives on through me and the Scouts that I now work with including my son, who is also a Eagle Scout.
