Gary D. Parker

Gary D. Parker, age 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Everett, with his family by his side, on April 20, 2005, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on February 22, 1936, in Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1954. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. In August 1963 he married the love of his life, Inez Duncan. He was a pioneer in the computing industry and was still active in learning about new technology. He recently retired from the Naval Station in Everett Washington. Gary enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Family was of the utmost importance to him, and spending time with them was always a priority. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and sang in the choir.
He leaves behind Inez, a loving wife of 41 years; two children, Carrie (Darrell) Ross, and Braden (Hilary) Parker; and one grandchild, Devin Ross.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette; his father, Ora; and his brother, Gaylan.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm., Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Faith Lutheran Church, 6708 Cady Road, Everett WA 98203.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe sent in his memory to the American Cancer Society, or Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, 2731 Wetmore, Suite 520, Everett, WA 98201.
