Gerald Yuhl Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Edward Yuhl passed away from natural causes and joined our Heavenly Father on December 14, 2020.

Jerry was born in Forbes, North Dakota on April 28, 1932 to John and Eva Yuhl. He lived in Ellendale, ND until as a young boy he moved with his family to Port Townsend, Washington. He graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1950. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then worked at the Port Townsend mill for several years before he moved to Edmonds. He retired from the City of Edmonds in 1992. In 1969, he met and married the love of his life, Judi Cloes, and adopted her two girls. He and Judi settled in Mountlake Terrace, added two more girls and raised their family.

Jerry enjoyed CB radios, trains, computers, and camping.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Yuhl; his sister, Patricia; his wife, Judi; and grandson Joshua.

Jerry leaves behind his loving family: brother, Clarence (Frances) of Port Angeles; daughters, Louise (Andrew) of Trout Creek, MT, Diane (Scott) of Arlington, WA, Heidi (Pat) of Everett, WA, and Connie of Everett, WA; grandchildren, Rebbecca, Sarah, Matthew, Michael, Patrick and Michelle; and eight great grandchildren.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will only be graveside services at Evergreen Washelli, Seattle, with the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the charity of your choice.

Had the pleasure of knowing Jerry at work through the years at Edmonds.
Brought a smile to me in memory. A great go-to guy with a big heart.
