Geraldine Kay Hammargren
1939 - 2020

Geraldine Kay Hammargren passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2020 at Providence Medical Center in Everett Washinghton.

Geri was born to Madeline R. Jones and Melvin L. Jones at Puget Sound Naval Hospital on May 18, 1939.

While her children were growing up, Geri was very active in all of their activities: School, Scouting, Little League and 4-H.

After her children left home and were on their own, Geri pursued her many interests. She always loved animals. As a child she had her dog and her horse. As an adult she bred and showed Shetland Dogs. She was an accomplished seamstress and a marvelous cook. She even shared her husband`s love of flowers and gardening.

Geri is survived by Fred, her husband of 60 years, two sons; Mark and his wife Lorelei of San Antonio Texas and Chuck of Shoreline Washington, three grandsons in Washington and two grandaughters in Texas, two brothers, three sisters and countless friends.

Geri has been laid to rest in Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier, Washington.

No services were held because the concern for people's health due to the on-going COVID-19 Pandemic.

Geri was truly a Puget Sound native. She lived her entire life in Kitsap, Pierce, King or Snohomish Counties. She lived for over 45 years in Brier, Washington.

She is greatly missed by all.

We only met her once but she was a very sweet lady and she was so excited about moving into her new home.
