Geraldine Sheppard Obituary

Geraldine Louise Fulks Sheppard

Geraldine Louise Fulks Sheppard, 81, passed away February 20, 2005, from complications due to Alzheimers. She was born on November 1, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She had retired to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1984 but before that Gerry had lived many years in Marysville, Washington, (and before that in Seattle and Moses Lake). Geraldine (Gerry) married Monte Sheppard during WWII and at the end of the war moved to his home state of Washington. Here, Gerry and Monte lived and thrived making many dear friends and raising their family. Gerry's accomplishments, associations and activities were many, but it is not these for which she will be remembered. What is so memorable is that she was so very much fun and such a good friend. She was witty and bright, and laughed often (and so distinctively)! Gerry was gracious and warm and a delight to be around. She is remembered by her family as being fiercely and deeply loving.
Gerry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, W. Monte Sheppard; and grandson, Charles Kingery.
She is survived by her three children, Monte G. Sheppard, Melissa Gere, and Carlene Kingery; and by three grandchildren, Lauren Sheppard, Adam Gere, and Eric Kingery. She is also survived by her younger sister, Wilma Fulks Thomason of Oklahoma City.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Unity Church in Lynnwood, Washington.
