Dear Susan, Bryan, and Anthony,
I only knew Gia for a short time, during my first two years as the librarian at her elementary school, but I remember her clearly: her smile, her warm and friendly nature, how genuine she was. She gave up some of her recesses to help in the library, and her love of animals was evident in the books she checked out, many of which were about caring for pets, especially rabbits. I want to thank you for holding the memorial and giving people like me a chance to get to know Gia a little better, to see her through the eyes of the people who were closest to her. I don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. My wish for you is that you will find comfort, strength, and peace in the years ahead, and that your memories of Gia will help light the way forward. My heart is just one of many that will always be with you on that journey.

My family would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of dear sweet Gia. Our son had the great honor and privilege of taking your Gia to the MP homecoming dance. We will never forget how truly regal and beautiful she looked when the kids came to our house the night of the homecoming dance for pictures. While at our home Gia caught her dress on a rose bush. Whenever we see our John F. Kennedy rose in bloom, we will think of Gia. For those who may not have known Gia, she was as beautiful and graceful as her name Gia Christine Soriano. I think about a line in an old Christmas movie, where a young child says “teacher says every time a bell rings, an Angel gets her wings”. We have all heard the bells for Gia and she has her wonderful Angel wings.
