Gino was born June 8, 1917 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada to Italian immigrants, Valentino and Rosa Cecchetto. At the age of two years, after his mother passed away, the family returned to Vedelago, Treviso Italy.

In June of 1950 he returned to Canada and resided in Windsor, Ontario. The rest of the family followed in January of 1951. They were blessed with a son, Carlo, born in September 1952.
In December 1955 the family moved to Dearborn, MI because of a job opportunity. In June of 1961 Gino came to Everett, WA to assist with the building of the Science Center for the World's Fair Century 21. A permanent job offer from George Duecy, owner of Associated Sand and Gravel, turned an initial two weeks hands on consultation to a 42 years stay in the Everett area. Gino became a self-employed cement contractor. In 1967 he was joined by his sons, Bruno and Carlo. His daughter, Maria, is a registered nurse.
Gino was an avid and successful hunter and fisherman, sharing his catches with family and friends. He truly enjoyed the outdoors.
Gino is survived by his wife of 61 years, Natalina; sons, Bruno and his wife Charlsie, Carlo and his wife Chris and daughter Maria and her husband Richard Jubie; grandchildren, Oriana and Mario Cecchetto, Brian and Natalina Jubie, Adam and Caitlyn Cecchetto, and Joseph Verda and family.
